Each Day Better Than The Day Before!

It has been an amazing journey I've had raising my son. In fact it has been quite an amazing and different journey I've had living life in general. I can remember seeing and holding his tiny feet and hands in mine right after birth. To this day I can still remember the first thought that came to mind...."that I wanted to remember those tiny hands forever"! Because I knew that they would grow and grow.

Holding my son's small body close to mine forced me to realize how his life depended on well I could care for him. The memories would be all I would have once he entered into toddler, teenage and adolescent stages. This is what prompted me to take pictures of him and myself progressing throughout the years. Each year and inches taller and facial features changing (his and mine), I can only imagine what the next year would bring.

February 22 was his twenty-second birthday and I am so blessed to be able to enjoy yet another year watching him become a adult. Praying each step of the way that God guide his feet, ways and thoughts.

It's Just Dinner!

Cooking is just one of the things I enjoy...not just because I like to eat and I need nutrition. I really have a satisfaction for many different foods. I like experimenting with many different spices and creating tastes from various ethnic groups. I like incorporating African-American tastes with other ethnic groups to come up with a hodge-podge I can call my own. I love the colors, textures and mostly the smells. So since I also enjoy photography, I've become quite happy with merging two of the things I enjoy the most.

This is one of my last meals that I prepared and I hope you enjoy it with me!

My Graduation!

For His Mercy is good and endureth forever! This past weekend I graduated. Although, I don't like to talk about myself, I am so very happy and grateful, thanks be to the most Merciful God who allowed the opportunity to happen for me. I want to share something I learned from http://www.rossoscarknightphotography.net/ Ross Oscar Knight when he spoke about his humble beginnings in photography: "Be careful of who you share your dreams with". Why? Because if the people in your midst don't share the same hopes, dreams, and aspirations as you do, then they will attack your faith and effort to even pursue what might be your blessings from God. I went through my business administration program without complaint, just the faith that somehow God would sustain me. Once again, I am so grateful for what God has blessed me with this year!
